KMOV is…
KMOVstudios is a creative multi-media engine that has, since 2002, been involved in service-oriented media projects. Our focus is to use our gifts in various projects for the benefit of friends and family worldwide. Such works include music videos and filmmaking in Chicago’s inner-city neighborhoods, public murals in New Mexico and Guizhou, art collaborations and education with secondary and elementary school students via music, film, and painting; also shorts and documentaries, web design, illustration, and music recording.

Perspective…
KMOVstudios views art and media first as a gift, and second as an offering: we reap of our experience, and present the best of these multimedia “crops” with joy and thanksgiving. Our work represents a journey, both personal and generational. We are vessels, full of good things received from our fathers and mothers; art is a link, a powerful instrument for communication with the next generation. We seek to be a part of the dialogue that connects the Source to the future…and one who drinks water ought to remember the source.

Nordica, September 2008…
“Transparencies: records of a journey traveled” includes the works of KMOVstudios’ friends from Beijing, Guizhou, and Yunnan. Transparency is a quality of something that allows light to pass through it, so that objects behind can be distinctly seen. This idea is the hinge upon which the responses to our individual journeys in this exhibit swing. These photographs and paintings are the responses of people on the road, passing through vestiges of culture and society, and witness to the timeless things experienced through an ephemeral present.

Norway photographer Kay Berg’s exhibition, photos from Africa’s HIV AIDS village

Norway photographer Kay Berg used to stay in Africa HIV Aids village. He shows the observation of the struggling, suffering, hope, happiness of HIV positive people via a humanistic perspective that it is cry for the equality, friendship and even the normal attitudes toward to people who is suffering.

This exhibition is a continuation program of “Contagious Love – Arts support HIV Aids”

He Libin’s solo exhibition:A Walker’s Diary

He Libin is a young artist and art teacher in Yunnan Art Institute. He has been dedicated into art over 16 years. Seriously, he is consideration about society and human values through his artist perspective. He has been invited to Norway DongXi gallery as an artist in residence in 2006.

As an artist, we live in this world but not belong to it. Today, the world became to busy and mass. When people quit from various businesses, go to the desert where anybody isn’t. Mankind gained the chance to contemplate the eternity and truth. Meanwhile, he started to considerate his values, the world where he has been live, the situation what the human is facing today. In the duration of contemplation, the heart and soul has been opened and released. The heart became peaceful.

He Libin started a project together with local scholars and TCG Nordica in Kunming. It is to make a desert within our living space with mixed drawing, picture, characters, sound and other materials; to create a field fulfilled openness, wildness, peacefulness. The aim is to describe the asperity situation that the individually felt about loneliness and expecting, to stimulate the concerning about the relationship between the individually and surrounding; the conflict of society and human nature; the interfering of the mankind and nature etc.

As the first exhibition, it is mainly to show his art review from the past 16 years. In the following shows are going to hold in different part of China. The idea is impacting the reflection of audience through his growing series under different subjects.
