This was LinLings first exhibition since the 1980s.

painting005The artists LinLing (China) and Brad Hawn (USA) dual exhibition “Watercolor World” has been a big success.
Quite a few people have come to see their paintings.
Brad Hawn intrigued the guests by painting live during the opening night. Especially some of the Chinese watercolor painters and students were very curious about his technique with watercolor on canvas. (The painting to the left is an example of Brad Hawns work)

processWhen a cigarette is lit up, it is endowed with both life and spirit by fire. It enjoys each breath and this is the way it goes across the whole life. Short lifetime does not matter, as it is burning all along. When the body dies out, the spirit, which is burning inside the body, is also leaving. The spirit is roaming between the birth to the death, transferring its information through our body till one day, our body goes out the same way like a cigarette. We hope the spirit inside our body is burning like a cigarette. However, many a time, our desire, the endless desire, rather than the spirit is burning. Instead of pondering over the whole process of our life, we are chasing after an unknown terminal.

Art is a part of my life, whilst life is a process only.
“In the Process of…” recorded my state of mind and personal experience in a particular period, during which time I was powered by the nature. I cannot interpret my works, but they can interpret me.
