Swedish photographer Carl Rytterfalk, born 1977, originally started with video and computer animations in 3D (early 90th). During late 90th and beginning of new century he made web design for United Nations and CD covers to local Swedish musicians. For three years he worked as a teacher in digital photography, digital art, web design, layout and design.
He had to lend cameras during this time. He had some digital point and shoot cameras but output quality wasn’t enough and they had a strange digital look that he disliked.
In 2002 he had the opportunity to buy a ‘real’ camera, he finally after month of research decided for a Sigma SD9.
The Sigma camera had something that no other digital had, a three layer sensor instead of one. The final image looked real and almost 3D compared to the standard so called ‘bayern’ technique. Learn more about the three layered sensor or/and Learn more about his camera.
In august of 2004 he had a smaller exhibition in Sigmas booth at the photographic fair in Germany, called Photokina. Some of the images taken and printed live at the fair were then exhibited here at TC/G Nordica in May 2005. The online art magazine TOM has his exhibited images published on their website for review.
Later the same year he was selected ‘month photographer’ in Americas biggest photographic magazine called ‘Pedersens PHOTOgraphic’. The article with images can now be viewed online. Take me to the article.
He has since had his images exhibited in Shanghai and Hong Kong early summer of 2005.
In august of 2003 he moved to Kunming to study culture and learn Chinese. He didn’t succeed much with the Chinese so he decided to stay longer. He has now been in China for more than two years and has started an online print service together with his Chinese girlfriend. Take me to his online print service.
For more information about him and his pictures google for Carl Rytterfalk or visit his homepage at www.rytterfalk.com

Dan Froberg’s cooperation with Sun Guojuan at TC/G Nordica attracted much attention. Dan’s Chinese recordings was for example mentioned by the influential daily Dagens Nyheter’s Martin Nystrom, as he listed the most interesting Swedishs releases of Art music in 2004.
Here you can read more about the recording “Can a car go and do the carg o?” (and there is a photo of Dan and Sun Guojuan from a performance at TC/G Nordica if you scroll down a bit).
Dan is also responsible for the Guest Studio Program at the Nordic Watercolor Museum at Tjorn, outside Goteborg. In this responsibility, he has had contact with other Chinese artists who have participated in exchange programs via TC/G Nordica.
The quality label Kning Disk holds this limited edition of the cd Dan-Sun Planet.
