The story of the nightingale is a story about the emperor of China. It’s a story about fake and real beauty. And it’s a story about music. Tonight you can listen to a lot of beautiful music, music form our home countries.
We are twelve students from Denmark, Sweden and Norway. We are here because we want to get to know China and Chinese culture. At the same time we want to give some of our culture to people in Kunming. You are about to hear a story written by the Danish author H.C Andresen. You will listen to music made by Scandinavian artists. And on stage you will see Scandinavians and Chinese creating a cultural experience together.

The young jazz trio Legopulver was founded at the music conservatory in Trondheim, Norway in 2002. Since then they have developed high competence within the fields of improvisation and co playing. In 2007 the CD “Legopulver” was released in Norway and Japan. As well as touring in Norway and abroad the band also gives classes in group improvisation and communication.
Passionate and know-how are qualities behind this ban´s music, which is built on simple melodic themes. These egalitarian trio of jazz musicians based in Trondheim, Norway, make music over a wide dynamic range, and their interweaving sound works at the punchiest levels as well as the more poetic passages. The interplay itself is what makes this band contemporary and full of genuine life.
Legopulver, whose members are all in their twenties, is a product of the jazz department at the University in Trondheim (NTNU). Since their student days they have matured into a solid band in command of the trio format. They are all on the verge of becoming professional
musicians, and they are proud to present their debut CD “Legopulver”
