Huang Shan graduated from the Music Department of Yunnan Art Institute in 2004 specializing in playing the Chinese violin (erhu). Since 2004 she has been working as a professional musician in the Folk Dance and Music Department of Yunnan Provincial Theater.
Huang Shan is a talented performer of classical Chinese music. She is also experienced in improvising with Western musicians. Besides performing in China, Huang Shan has also performed in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
