艺术家自述
我喜欢把本来不在一个平面或时空上存在的事物组合并置在我的画面上。早期的作品中我比较关注性别，近期我更加关注不同种族和文化的混合和并列。比如说，我把一个很需要水的非洲妇女通过我的画面放到水资源丰富的北欧湖泊旁边，或者在阿拉伯的图案旁放上一个在节日里带星形帽子的瑞典男孩。我甚至在绘画技法上尝试这种混搭的效果，传统的学院技法加上一些俗气的用色以体现“高与低”的融合。在旧货市场里找到一些不同文化中过气的旅游纪念品，用胶把他们粘在一起又变成了一个“混合文化物体”
双胞胎的主题也吸引着我，我的家族中就有双胞胎姐妹，他们总是在一起。辨认他们成了我童年时即着迷又心怀嫉妒的游戏。。。我同样也喜欢镜面的效果，物体和花纹通过镜面重复着，对称，再重复，然后变成了“万花筒”一样的世界，如同古老的早期佛教里对世界的看法。
想法最开始往往来自我看见的东西：一个人，一个物件或者风景都刺激着我的创作。甚至像颜色本身这样的材料也会。我尽量用视觉来思考，在作品完全完成前，都避免用大脑去分析里面的含义，因为我知道我的头脑很成人化，而我想要更直接更单纯的表达。我的作品并不传达具体的信息给观众，只要人们能通过观看而被唤醒一些沉睡的好奇，快乐，和希望我就会很高兴了。
